From the M1, junction 14 or the A5, take the road marked H5 (A509) and follow signs to ‘the centre mk central shopping’. Head south-west on Midsummer Blvd and turn right onto Saxon Gate. Then turn right again onto Silbury Blvd and then turn left onto N 8th St. Then one more right turn and you should arrive at the library.
There is a limited amount of disabled parking at Milton Keynes Library. Alternatively disabled parking can be found near many of the MK shopping centre’s entrances and is just a short walk to the library from there.
There is also parking at intu Shopping Centre, Avebury Boulevard, The Theatre District and The Food Centre (at Iceland), which again is just a short walk away from the Library.
From Milton Keynes Rail Station, any bus service from stops Y1 to Y6 can be used to travel to thecentre:mk. Services between the rail station and thecentre:mk run every few minutes, and the journey time is approximately five minutes. Once you have reached the shopping centre, you can walk straight through to get to the library on Silbury Blvd.
Milton Keynes has a network of frequent bus services from all parts of the city. There are bus stops at the Point and the Food Centre, just outside thecentre:mk. From there it is just a short walk through the shopping centre to get to the Library. To use the bus route finder please click here >
From the food hall entrance of the centre, walk straight down reaching the exit which has the shop Waterstones on your right hand side. Exit the centre and cross over two roads. You should be able to see the Library in front of you. This is approximately a 3-5 minute walk.
Access information
There is a lift available to the first floor for adult lending and children’s services. Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Dogs for the Disabled are welcome. Disabled parking spaces are available at the front of the library along with pay and display parking. Parking is free after 6pm.
